A Curtis Reflection

This three-movement work for piano was commissioned by and is dedicated to The Curtis Institute of Music for their Centenary Commissioning Initiative 100x100. It's three movements reflect the composers time at Curtis: "222" is 222 W. Rittenhouse Square; listen for the three loud Gs (the second note of the scale). "Parkway House" is the composer's second home in Philadelphia. "1726" is 1726 Locust Street, the address of Curtis itself; the music features C-B-D-A: notes 1, 7, 2, and 6 of the scale.
